Headphones By Artists

Dr. Dre came out with his brand of Beats headphones and everyone had to have them. They had to have them because #1 they were by Dr. Dre and #2 because Dr. Dre wanted the common people to hear music the way it would sound in the studio. Many athletes and other artists are associated with the Beats brand and some names include LeBron James, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber. But, competition started to rise after a couple of years which was expected. Of course there are the Bose headphones but my opinion is that the Beats are much more marketable because they by Dr. Dre but, other artists started to come out with their own line of headphones.
Ludacris came out with his brand of headphones called Soul by Ludacris. CNET Editors have reviewed the Soul’s on 9/27/11 and they said that are comfortably padded but they are also overpowered by the bass which decreases clarity. Overall they said that it was better than the competition because of the padding and the noise cancellation factor (2012 CBS Interactive p. n. d). Later on that year, another artist 50 cent came out with his brand of headphones with SMS Audio. Jason McCoy reviewed the Street By 50 headphones on 2/17/12 and he said that he was very impressed with the headphones and he said you get what you pay for (2012 Nerd or Geek p. n. d). Rene Zelada who reviewed them on 3/8/12 and she said they sound good at home, not so good on the airport and not good at all on an airplane.
She said this because of the fact that these headphones do not have a noise cancelling system. She said if you go out it doesn’t sound bad but if you go to a crowded area, then sound starts to leak in and you have to higher the volume. Another problem she said was that they do not fold up which can be a problem because they are not very portable however, they do come with a nice carrying bag (2012 NYP Holdings p. n. d).
